I hope you take a few minutes to browse the galleries and daydream about wild landscapes. The “Recent” gallery is a good place to start. The latest gallery, “Rock Art & Caves”, features the art of ancient humans in awe-inspiring settings.
Ken Tape is a lifelong Alaskan nature and science photographer, whose artistic interest is in capturing unique perspectives of landscapes, auroras, ancients, and adventures.
Ken’s passion for the outdoors and the beauty of the Arctic has motivated him to seek out and record the timeless moments of remote Arctic locations.
Ken’s photos are presented in his book “The Changing Arctic Landscape” (University of Alaska Press, March 2010). The content from the book was developed into a national traveling interactive museum exhibit.
Ken uses repeat photography to detect changes in vegetation, glaciers, and permafrost in response to climate change. His science webpage is here.
